Structuring a Group Class 

This masterclass focuses on how to effectively structure both mat and reformer group classes using a simple, repeatable framework. It covers essential programming considerations, exercise selection, and how to organize a session into purposeful warm-up, strength, and cool-down components. Instructors will also learn how to design balanced, full-body classes that integrate upper and lower body work, push and pull patterns, functional movement, and effective muscle strengthening.

Many instructors struggle with class planning—often defaulting to random exercise selection or overloading certain muscle groups while neglecting others. A well-structured class not only improves client outcomes but also builds instructor confidence, efficiency, and consistency. Understanding how to program with intention ensures safer, more effective sessions that deliver a balanced, full-body experience for a wide range of clients.

The masterclass is organized into clear, practical sections. It begins with a foundational framework for class design, followed by key programming considerations such as balance, progression, and client needs. From there, it explores exercise ideas and how to apply them within a structured format. The session then breaks down each component of a class—warm-up, strength, and cool-down—demonstrating how to sequence exercises for flow, effectiveness, and a cohesive full-body workout.
